Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the company assisting the CEO and President in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. The successful candidate will understand the unique aspects of running a small but growing business that is part of a larger corporation. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background that allows him or her to technically understand the products that the client designs and manufactures. Past experience working for a defense contractor company while not required is a definite plus.
Major Responsibilities & Tasks
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Company understanding the interplay of all facets of the business to ensure sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives are met.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the development our operational infrastructure including the systems, processes, and personnel necessary to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the company.
Balance leadership role against demands of a small company to have hands-on decision makers driving productivity and making smart decisions on all operational matters.
Roll up your sleeves and dive in to understand our product, processes, customers, and unique quality requirements?critical to ensuring your ability to becoming a true leader that can be relied upon as a final point of authority in the absence of the CEO and/or President.
Continue moving ERP implementation project to completion. Manage ERP system while ?kinks? worked out.
Direct implementation of necessary infrastructure to support anticipated growth.
Knowledge & Skills:
Prior experience in a manufacturing company in a leadership role.
Technical background---education and experience?EE/ME
Small company experience a decided plus
Prior experience working for a defense contractor company a decided plus
Team player with positive attitude and demonstrated leadership ability
Education/
Experience:
Engineering degree while not mandatory is highly desired
Prior experience in manufacturing company
MBA a plus
Other Job Features:
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to possess a security clearance
