9 Full-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description In a Retail bank branch, the Branch Manager proactively sells the bankEUR(TM)s products and services to existing customers and prospects, guides the sales efforts of the platform team, ensures superior customer service levels, and manages the daily operations of their branch.
The Branch Manager will balance policy and procedure with appropriate judgement, and will make management decisions that are mutually beneficial to the bank and the customer.
EUR (BM I) Responsible for the overall management of a small-to-mid-sized banking office EUR (BM II) Responsible for the overall management of a mid-sized banking office EUR (BM III) Responsible for the overall management of a mid to large-sized banking office EUR (BM IV) Responsible for the overall management of a large-sized banking office.
EUR Proactively guides the sales activities of the assistant manager and platform staff toward achievement of their personal sales objectives, as well as established branch goals EUR Through tested techniques, engages in sales and service coaching sessions with sales staff EUR Conducts business development activities to include personal visits and outbound teleservicing as components of overall responsibility for building commercial relationships EUR Promotes Eastern Bank through community involvement via memberships in local organizations (i.
e.
Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.
), participation in city/town events, engaging local business networks, and the like EUR Although the Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for managing daily branch operations and compliance issues, the Branch Manager has ultimate responsibility for the branch's performance in these areas which include, but are not limited to, overdraft management, vault management, branch schedules, the opening and closing of the office, and other such duties EUR Manages customer service levels within the branch, adhering to established guidelines EUR Consistently applies Human Resource policy for routine aspects of management, and as performance issues arise EUR Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for subordinates EUR Expected to have / gain full understanding of the teller function
Qualifications:
EUR Expected to have / gain full understanding of the teller function EUR(BMI) Associates Degree preferred; two-to-four years of management experience required, preferably in a retail banking environment EUR(BMII) Bachelors Degree preferred; three-to-five years of management experience required, preferably in a retail banking environment EUR(BM III & IV) BachelorEUR(TM)s Degree (or equivalent experience) required; three-to-five years of management experience and proven leadership capabilities required, preferably in a retail banking environment.
EUR For incumbents who have tenure with the bank, must have a history of solid sales, service and management successes EUR Basic business acumen and professionalism is a must EUR Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical EUR Ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization EUR Ability to quickly learn all there is to know about the products and services offered by the bank EUR Must have the ability to work independently, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
EUR Should be an outgoing self-starter and be technically literate.
EUR Must be flexible with ability to adapt to change.
EUR (BM III & IV) Must retain and build upon product knowledge base as a member of the divisionEUR(TM)s management team.
